This Christmas.
To be honest, somehow I do not feel a strong Christmas festive season around this year as compared to previous years. I did not feel as excited about it as before and all I was looking forward to was having a nice and cozy Christmas dinner with the beloved one. Christmas eve was spent at home with my family and we stayed up to watch 200 pounds beauty. I almost couldn't wake up in time on Christmas morning to meet Silly for breakfast. I yawned my way to Tampines Mall and started off my day with Coffee and Toast. I was pretty surprised that they had a new Koi Cafe branch at Tampines Interchange and of course, how could we miss any opportunity to satisfy our craving for Honey Milk Tea. We headed down to Silly's house to do some serious work before nuahing around.
I decided to have something different for Christmas dinner this year - Hotpot. I painted the image of having Yuan Yang Pot while it was raining outside for Silly and he bought the idea. :) The Hotpot of our choice was Chong Qing Hotpot at Suntec. I saw some reviews about the food and service and that painted a pretty average expectation for me. To my pleasant surprise, the quality of the food and service way surpassed my expectations. They had waiters who specifically serve a few tables and it made us felt that all our needs were attended to well. The Manager even took time to explain and mix the sauce for us. It was only then did I realised why was this Hotpot buffet more pricey than the others. The soup base was great too. It wasn't as salty as those at Crystal Jade we had a couple of days ago and the Ma La Tang was seriously MA LA.
After about one hour, Silly and me was already 3/4 full. Great food, great company, great service was what I felt. That pretty much sums up my blessed and warm Christmas dinner. No commercializing and over priced food; only warmth and sincerity filled my Christmas. Hope that everyone else felt the same way this Christmas too.

[My first go at putting fake lashes]What's next after Christmas? Birthday celebrations for the December babies. Heading off for Jacq's party later on and I hope that it doesn't rain as heavily as last night. :)
