NIGHT BIKE. Shagged but AWESOME:)
Yesterday night at this time, I was at East Coast Park getting ready to kick off for our night bike route. The group met at Kit Runners and I thought the vendors looked kind of fierce when they were allocating the participants the bikes. Sheri and myself were in group 3 so we were the group that was last to kicked off. However, the kicking off is kind of problematic. Sheri had some problem with her bike while I had some problem with my helmet. First half of the group left first while Marcus helped me out with my problematic helmet with Chi-Hao and friend turning back to look for us. By the time we kicked off properly, it was really late. We had to cycle super fast to catch up with the rest and Chi-Hao was practically pushing me forward and I was freaking out as I steered the bike at such a high speed. Cycling with these pro guys are really scary. What makes it worse was that you feel inferior cycling next to them because they were like riding on some pro bike that cost 2k bucks while I was riding on some rented bike with a bell that says "I LOVE MY BIKE". HAHA.
We finally met the other group when we cycled out of east coast park and headed to the indoor stadium till we reached Macs at West coast. We got down for a break and I was too tired to eat anything so I just downed a medium size ice lemon tea and nuah at Macs. We pushed off from Macs at 12.50 am and headed to Jurong HILL. Mind you, a HILL. The first slope was a more gentle but long slope and I didnt even have the energy to paddle up the slope because I started at some weird part of the slope such that Marcus and John had to push me up. By the time I reached the top part, I couldn't take it anymore so I pushed my bike up with Yun Lu. The second slope was even steeper and I got down half way to push my bike and the group at the top was like laughing at us. haha. By the time we reached the top of the hill, we were damn shagged but the view was awesome. However, there were couples doing weird stuff there at wee hours and it was quite embrrassing for them since 30 plus people were looking into the van at them.
We continued to cycle to the prata place and from this part of the journey, it was really physically challenging and it was a test of will power. I managed to survive to reach the prata place but I was stoning there and having my starfruit juice at 4 am. We then cycled back to ECP at 5 am and my face had the word "TIRED"printed on it. I managed to pull through to go back to ECP. Went home after that, bathed and slept on my comfy bed till 5 in the evening. Meeting tmr again and even though everything was tiring, the fun that I got out of it was definitely much more than the level of tiredness. I am enjoying it:)
