MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL:)

Desaru. The Pulai Desaru Beach. Christmas Eve.

The past few days have been a blast, with events after events coming up. First up, my 60km biking trip up the many hills to Desaru. We had our final meeting on sunday and I was terribly late for it. What made it worse was that I forgotto bring my matri card so i resorted to my last resort after knowing that Sheri will come later than me- call melvyn for help. He was nice enough to bring down Victoria's card for me to get into the school and treated me to Mr Bean's soya bean milk. Wow, so being late is a good thing afterall. And FINALLY after weeks of planning, contacting peeps, settling money affairs, recee and pre rides, the The actual thing has come. We met at Changi Village early in the morning at 7 plus and thanks to Melvyn's morning call, I managed to wake up without snoozing my alarm. We collected our bikes and helmet, checked that everything is in working order and then proceeded to take the bumboat ride to Malaysia's Pengerang Jetty. The boat was kind of run down with open windows meant to allow us to feel the breeze but ended up causing us to be wet because the sea water just kept splashing into the boat continously. Luckily non of us had sea sick if not it would have been worse. Once we reached the jetty, we kicked of our biking trip shortly and cycled till Rengit for lunch. The weather was super warm and htat made it even more tiring for us to cycle. Along the route, we saw dead snakes, dead chicken and dead huge lizards lying in the middle of the road and some of them were already decomposing. We reached Rengit for lunch after cycling about 17 km and I kept drinking lime juice and 100 plus till I felt so full that I had no appetite to eat. We left Rengit at about 1 plus and we started off for our ardous 45 km journey up many hills towards Desaru.

The hilly hills along the route really suck to the max and the wind that was blowing against us made it worse. I almost died while paddling uphill and I was so shag that I couldn't even bring myself to curse the freaking hills. Tai Xin and Daryl chionged up the hills and were always ahead waiting for me. haha, so pai seh. The wind was so strong that Olivia and I have to depend on Nick and Benedict's drafting to make it up the hills. After much painful paddling and drafting and resting and changing of gears every now and then, I finally made it to the final resting point at the petronas petrol kiosk at Desaru. All the groups took a half an hour break there before setting off for the last 9 km to the resort. The last stretch to the resort route was damn shiok because it was mostly flat route or downslope and I didn't have to paddle much. We finally reached the Pulai Desaru Beach Resort at about 5 plus. I had such a GREAT sense of achievement for making it there in one piece without and injury:) HOORAY! Cihui managed to overcome one more challenge. We went to our rooms, showered and met for dinner at 6 plus 7. The buffet dinner was not too bad and I love their mushroom soup, potato salad, mango pudding, mushroom sauce on sausage and their dessert! Tai Xin had like five helpings of it I think. Dinner ended at about 9 plus and we went to walk about the resort for a short. Tai Xin was really crazy to buy Heineken when he ad to cycle the next day while Sheri had her soya bean milk and I had my coke. We went back to our room, 136 after that and lawrence, daryl and tai xin came over to play cards. Tai xin was making so many cock comments that I wanted to kick him off the bed and throw him out of the room. We ended up playing dai dee because they gave up teaching me how to play bridge. Melvyn stopped by for a while and they left at 11 plus because we were all too shagged. We woke up at close to 7 the next day for breakfast, checked out and the participants kicked off for the returned leg. I was on the safety car the next day to help take pictures but to our horror, there were quite a few serious casualties on the second day. Jamie flew off her bike and skidded down the road, Sheri flew off her bike and the bike landed on her while tai xin pressed the wrong brake, the bike over turned and he hit his head and sprained his wrist. In the end, I had to get off the safety car at the last 6-7 km to ride because the safety car was too full.

My shoelaces were too long and some how they got wound onto the paddle that I had to jam brake. Luckily Lucas, Lester and Benedict were pro riders that managed to swerve and brake in time if not the four of us would have buang together and there will be more casualties. I managed to make it back to Singapore in one nice piece ignoring the fact that I was burnt unevenly. I slept very early that night and went out to meet Jacq, Ying Lei and Shijie the next day. We went to a Korean BBQ restuarant at far east for late lunch till 4 plus. The food was yummy and I love their chocolate Dessert. I am definitely going back there again!

Christmas eve:)

Ain't he cool?!

Dessert!
Korean BBQ:)
We went to catch 'Yes Man' at Cineleisure at seven plus before heading home for an early christmas eve night. Today is stay home and nuah day because my bones feel dislocated all over the place. Meet up with dearie tan chun tomorrow! Cant wait and I shall go and enjoy my "bull fighting" now. BYE:)
