[Solid solid solid solid AH! Celaeno section super solid YAH!]

I survived.

FTB is finally over. The three days two nights long of activities were really tiring. Our camp was held at the East Coast OBS campsite and we slept in tents by the sea. It was so warm in the tent at night because our group was llucky to be in the last row where there wre ten thousand tents in front of us that blocked off all te breeze. The teambuilding activities we did required plaanning, simulation and execution. Hence, we took like one and a half hours to complete one single activity which would seem like a normal station game in secondary school for most of us. Yet, we cannot deny that there were so much to learn from a single activity. We did rafting on the first day and it was quite fun to build your own raft as a group and paddle out to sea. The guys in my group were very pro at tying knots and we were the first group to set off to sea. We managed to come back in one piece safely but it was really tiring to carry the big, heavy and bulky raft back to the rafting place. The camp food was still quite all right, very much like the food we had in GB camps. Breakfast was disgusting though. Breakfast on the second day was plain, white bee hoon which was tasteless and breakfast on the third day was super oily kway teow where all of us looked as if we were putting solid oil into our mouths.

The second day of camp was a long day for us. Two more members joined us and we started of with the tower buliding activity where we had to build a tower with our feet. My back and neck almost broke while being lifted backwards but i think it was worse for Ying Lap who was supporting me at the bottom. We failed three out of five activities that day but our group got better in terms of team spirit and perserverance. I was so proud of our team. The horizontal spiderweb game and inverted cones were the ultimate tests of our perserverance. For the horizontal spiderweb, we had to get everyone out of the web without touching the rafia string. Joshua Toh was the first guy to be lifted out and we had to keep restarting the entire thing because it was really difficult to try and not touch the string while moving out.So poor Joshua had to keep going in to the web and jumping out of it whenever we restarted. I think he is so pro that he can just jump out of any hole of his own now. All of us were perspiring like crazy but yet, the "never say die spirit" was so strongly felt by each and everyone of us. The inverted cones game was another game which we fought till the very end. Joshua and Kenneth had to lift Yu Ting and me up on their shoulders as we were the lightest girls in the group, so as to get the cone out of the stick. We had to restart the game each time when someone crossing over the strings touches the strings. So poor joshua had to keep lifting me up and down on his shoulders. I think I almost broke his neck while I was up there. That game was quite fun because we managed to complete it even though we exceeded the time limit like by one hour. Thanks to the game, Yu Ting and myself became very good at using bamboo poles to lift things up.

Campfire night was fun and our section won the best cheer. The guys did a great job at slapping each other's asses in sync. Solid sia Celaeno! Then again, I cant believe that we are going to preform our solid cheer during convocation. They turned the place into a mini dance floor after the performance and everyone was high and dancing about even though the songs were not exactly to the likings of everyone. It was like the most enjoyable thing we had in the camp. We finally break camp on wednesday and everyone just let their hair down during our last game. We had to run around stations with our hands linked up as a group and it was super tiring. We chionged till the very end and the filling barrel game was the most troublesome game because we had to fill a barrel that had holes all over. All te girls just stuck our fingers to cover all the holes and Lynn even tried to stick her face to the barrel to cover the holes while the guys filled up the barrel. Overall, it was an enriching camp but the troublesome thing was that we had debrief after every single activity. Naresh was a great faci throughout the entire camp and yes, A20 rocks.

I went to catch Red Cliff with Fran and Clar on thurs night after the serious lack of entertainment during camp and it was a great movie. There were intelligent humour here and there and the art of warfare is something which I had learnt to appreciate in the show. Takeshi and Tony Leung worked very well but i seriously don't understand why they should get that model to come and act. I beilieve there are better choices of actresses out there who can take on the role. There's still a part 2 to the show and I am highly anticipating it. BUT, we had better not get the second row of seats again because my neck was highly challenged through the two and a half hours of show. Laptops are giving fran and myself very bad headaches and my sister had to eat up my mangosteen when I am already so vexed. I better go and dig into the refrigerator for food beofre she kopes everything. -.-
