Moving on.
Natural disasters. Within 2 weeks, two disasters that I have read and studied before during geography class have happened. First came the wet cyclone and then came the trembling earthquake. They are just events happening over a short period of time but numerous lives were taken away just at that instant when they occurred. Thank God, I live in Singapore. This thought has never come across so strongly before. While the rest are searching for their family members through the thick rubble, I am using the computer in the cosy room to watch my DVD. This made me truly appreciate how fortunate I am.
I finally brought girlfriend out for dinner at Waraku and we had a seat that was great as I could see the night view from the window. Most importantly, I enjoyed my time there as there was great food with great company. The week ahead was just nothing but work and work. Bread and milk for breakfast seems to be an important part of my working life and it starts off my day well. catherine was really nice in not docking an hour of my pay for last month as I was late for a few minutes. Hehe, I should count myself lucky. I went to catch Iron man with Fran and Clarissa on last thursday and the movie was great. Initially when Fran told us that the movie was 128 minutes long, we just went, "What?! so long?!" Yet, when the movie started, my eyes were never taken off from the screen except for times when I had to look at where my tuna sub was before biting quickly. Kudos to the guy who made the first structure of iron man in a cave with just limited technology and scrapes of metal that couldwithstand the impact from bombs and even propel upwards and "fly". The storyline is quite good too as Ironman does not possess any supernatural powers itself but acquires all its powers from technology which seems more practical to me. It is also a good show to showcase how technology is both a boon and bane. It could be used to save lives and yet used by people with ulterior motive.
I made a trip down to NTU on Sunday afternoon for the accountacny talk. I am one screwed up kid that doesnt have a mind of my own. Shoots, I had better be more decisive. The talk was great as it was really informative about NTU and the course itself. It was quite tiring to be at Boon lay on a hot sunday afternoon given that it is a faraway land. Xianling and I went shopping at Bugis street after that and it was a great shopping spree. We had honeydew juice first to perk ourselves up and get ourselves ready for the wonderful shopping journey. When Monday came, time really crawls man. It took like five years for the half the day to past and perhpas ten years for six pm to come. Nevertheless, it is wednesday now=)Friday will come really soon. So will monday. oh wells.
