We stayed till about 10 at Hougang Mall on tuesday night before saying goodbye. It was a great chill out session to get away from busy work schedules. Wednesday and Thursday were quite a breeze as there is no Johoku around hounding me and 6pm seems to have come really quickly. One irritating thing was that it has been raining heavily these days till the extent that some areas around office are kind of flooded. This morning was really bad because I was hoping that it would rain only after I have reached the office. To my horror, the rain started coming down heavily once I reached the bus stop. My pants were totally wet because it was flooded everywhere and I think I better walk to the office on wooden stilts next time when it rains and I will be 100% dry. The covered walkway was totally useless because judging at how wet the people who seek shelter there became, I think the covered walkway did not seem to have covered them.
I was freezing by the time I reached the office and it was really irritating to be siting with half wet pants under the air conditioner. In the end, I went to the pantry to make myself a cup of hot tea to survive. The auntie will be on leave till friday and this is really bad because there is no one to clear the rubbish bin under our desks and my rubbish bin is overflowing. I think it is a matter of time that I will find myself siting in a rubbish dump. I am falling in love with the "Xiao Man Tou" snack and everyone went "How come you are eating what the kids usually eat?" . lol. I think the snack is more for lazy people like me because it just melts in your mouth and all you need to do is to swallow it. No chewing is required to consume it. And so, for people like me who are so overwhelmed by work such that I am too lazy to even chew, this is the best snack you can ever have. I think all I am lacking now is a pair of machinery hands to help put the snack into my mouth so that I don't have to keep stretching out my hands to reach for the packet of food. Wow, how lazy I am.
It is going to be friday tomorrow! Can't wait! Weekends, here I come!:)
