Chinese New Year.
I have finally got whatever I need for this Chinese New Year. It has been quite an enjoyable experience shopping for Chinese New Year stuff this year with mum, sis and girlfriends. One sad thing is that many things are being paid by myself. All right. IT IS TIME TO GROW UP AND BE INDEPENDENT. I guess it is actually a good thing too. When you start to work and pay for your own living expenses, you really feel the pinch when you keep getting money out from the machine and seeing it go to everywhere except your own pocket. Maybe it will go to your pocket but it wouldnt stay there for long before it vanishes again. So, you will learn to be more careful with your expenditure. I seriously can feel how my parents felt whenever I had to ask them for money for the past two years while studying. It is like they have to pay for everything from utility bills, food, groceries, our school fees and many many living expenses. Here I am complaining when I have to only pay for my own living expenses. How selfish I am.
Mum and Dad were being really nice. They sponsored some of my clothes and helped me pay for my contact lenses first. I had better get my pay back before New Year so I can pay them back. Lol. I don't want to owe them things over the New Year period because i heard that it is not good. lol. Actually come to think of it, I owe my parents almost everything from the moment I was formed. My contact lenses are being collected already and mum bought many New Year goodies too. HOWEVER, she says that none of us are allowed to even touch the box before next week comes for fear that everything will go down to our stomachs before chinese new year comes. So yes, my sis and I will only be allowed to pace up and down the kitchen and stare at the nice food for the next two days. It is a torture man. I think if she doesn't want us to touch it, she should keep everything in the cupboard instead of displaying nicely outside as if she want to sell it and allow us to only SEE and NOT TOUCH.
These few days was kind of tiring for me. Work was boring and tiring with nothing on to spice up my boring working life. Oh yeah, my table has officially become the "Admire Jay Chou" table. I pasted the 'Secret' poster with him and the piano on my table that area and Pik Seah was reminded of the show and we had a very funny conversation about how touching the show was. lol. Then Shirely came over while I was away to give Uncle willie stuff and when i came back, she was like, "Sorry, I am admiring Jie Lun". lol Then we started another conversation about him. Today, Catherine came over and said, "You like Jay? He looks very good in this movie!" and we started ANOTHER conversation and this time it went on to Korean dramas. She even went back to her seat and called Pik Seah to ask if i knew who was Seven and brought her MP3 to my table and let me hear her collection of korean songs so that she can "tooth tooth" (blue tooth) those nice ones to me next time. lol. I think from her dressing sense and all, one will really not be able to tell that she is already a mother of three and her oldest son is already about 16 or 17. She is really a hip hop mother that many will be envious of.
I went to many places to meet my mum and sis after work for the past few days and manage to get most of the things we needed. CNY. I can't wait:) I cant wait to meet up with many many friends too.:) I hope my sore throat will be cured before New Year.
