Ah Long Pte Ltd.
One week is gone again. A step closer to facing the cruel reality. I realised that when you start working, time flies faster than when you are schooling. On Monday, I will get my usual monday blues and before you know it, the happy friday comes by your way. I was really busy on Monday with piles and piles of documents piling up all over on my table. When Richard wanted me to help him file his stack of quotation, he didn't even know where to put his stack of quotation on my desk because there was practically no space. Pik Seah and Richard really makes a good couple. Both of their documents are always stacked up sky high before they realise that it is time to get me to file it up for them. Pik Seah's file practically burst becasue there were just to much stuff. So I spent my Monday filing and filing and filing. There were so much filing that I even had to continue to file on Tuesday. I bet Sam would just scream if she sees how much paper the company is using and wasting. The people in office are really funny people especially the salesman. Some of them are really hip even though they are in their 40s going on to 50s. They know stuff about PSP games, blog and many other things related to lives of the younger generation. I also realised that the peole in the office always munch on tidbits> everyday without fail, you can always see Nick hanging around at Joanne's table for one purpose--to reach out to the box of sweets on joanne's table. You can also see Vincent wlaking around his area to offer Ba Kwa to the other peeps and Reynold walking to the "CNY goodies" section half the time and siting there eating. Now I understand why people slways say that working in the office is very unhealthy because you always eat and sit and sometimes almost fall asleep when there is nothing to do.
Wednesday was ice cream day. We had ice cream after lunch and we went to the pantry to eat the ice cream and chatted with Hua Jie. Murata San was there too. He is really a very funny and cute guy. He always sits on four chairs to eat and he always says" Thank you thank you bye bye". Haha. Heard that he danced very enthusiastically during company dinner. Too bad I wasn't there to see it for myself. I went to catch "Ah Long Pte Ltd" with Sophia yesterday after work at Century Square. We saw so many army guys in their uniform carrying those big big backpacks walking around. Seriously, I don't think the show was worth my money at all. I mean it is quite comical and funny here and there but it wasn't as good as what I expected. The whole show was totally flat, no climax and no message. Or perhaps I didn't manage to understand what message Jack Neo was trying to convey through the movie. All I could understand was that loansharks shouldn't harm the innocent. -.- Even though the show wasn't that great, the time spent with a friend was definitely great. We went to pasta mania to have dessert after the show because I fell in love with the Mango Trifle and Chocolate Mousse after eating that with Xianling that time. Shiok man. It was a great Friday night:)
I just got my pay for the month of January! I was so happy to see more digits under the "available balance" category on the atm screen yesterday morning. It really made my Friday morning a great one. I was practically skipping to the office from the atm machine nearby with the thought of "I GOT MY PAY:)!" LOL. I guess the cliche phrase of "money makes wonders" is really true. Especially money that you made with your own hands. It gives me that extra satisfaction. Haha. I feel proud to be using the money that I earned with my own hands and not the money that my mum and dad put on my hands. At least I feel less guilty when I spend my own money when I am out with friends. There are so many movies that I want to watch. The Leap Years, L change the world and the Jap love story movie which i saw the poster at Cine that is going to come out in March. Shall start jio-ing people out again. :)
