Slaves of money.
Work started on monday. I found my way to the place and it was quite a distance from the bus stop. however, I really appreciate walking now. I was quite lost on the first day of work but luckily there were many nice peeps there to guide me around.First was Grace and Millie and they helped me to get my punch card. Then came my supervisor Pik Seah. She is really one gentle lady. She taught me how to file quotation and check PO. first day was still quite fun because you egt to try new stuff that you have never done before. Second day was quite fun too. I had to use the antique typewriter to type the address for mailing on the envelope. It was really noisy and when I was using it in the afternoon, it was making freaking noises in the office. The worse thing was half the salesman were out getting sales and the office was quite empty given that only the office ladies were around. So the sound from the typewriter was even noisier in the half empty quiet office.
The third day was all right and it started off with me getting excited using the barcode printer. However, the excitement didn't last long as usual and I got quite bored. Lunch was quite all right. I went for lunch on the first two days with my supervisors and the other young mothers who are also fans of taiwan drama. I really envy them for being such hip myoung mothers. they were like discussing about shows that my sis and I would go goo goo gaa about. Went for lunch with eileen, grace and sophia these two days and it was great trying out food they recommended at the hawker centre. haha, no choice, aljunied is a far away and ulu place to me esp at SIms drive and I know nuts about anything there. LOL. The peeps over at JST are really nice and I have new 62 bus mates! Haha, it is like the 55 people in VJ where we go home after school together. 62 is now the new 55 that I squeeze onto every morning and evening. It is super crowded and they always send the freaking small single deck bus. Then the passengers get pisst off because it is too squeezy and the bus driver gets pisst off too because hell lots of people are going up the bus and the bus is forever taking years to move away from the bus stop. They should really start the "send-double-deck-buses-during-peak-hours" policy just like what bus 55 did after much complaints from Xianling and me. The worse is when everyone puts on different perfume and cologne and the mixture you get is really jialat and you have to tahan till you reach your designated stop which is far far away. Moreover, there is no more 45 cents thing anymore so I jolly well have to remember to tap-in-and-tap-out and my EZ link card is like bleeding money each day. It is a black hole that can never be filled. Bless me man. At the rate I am spending, maybe I will have to walk to work one day.
Ok, at least I get to sit down at my own desk and I shall fill my desk up with nicer stuff that I can use to entertain myself when I am bored. haha. hope that everything will be fine and that it continues on smoothly till my contract there is up.Yay, friday is coming tomorrow and it means weekends are coming. Shopping! Here I come!Can't wait to watch Le Grand Chef with Jacq next week! Met up with Ying Le for dinner on Tuesday. It was GREAT! We chatted and chatted non stop and I had a really wonderful time! Enjoy your chinese new year ambassador work! love love:)Work again tomorrow but then again, nothing without labour.
