Drill Competition. One Way, Jesus. Girls' Brigade 4th Company.

Drill Competition is finally over. I rushed down to PL primary in the morning and reached there at 7 am. The moment I was there, I started working non stop like some xiao za bor. I was so busy settling the uniform of the girls. We finally had our one last practice before we left the school at about 7.40 am. On the bus journey there, I was walking around spraying the hair spray for the girls and doing a final adjustment and check of their uniform. I think at the end of the bus journey, I sprayed so much hair spray on them till their hair were as hard as rock. Oh wells, that's the only way to make sure that their hair stays in that position and is neat. We tried our best to keep calm but I guess it still didnt work.

Finally the time came. I brought the girls into the Parade Square and it was the time to show what they have been practising for the last 5 months. The music finally started and they started their creative drill. Their arm swings were absolutely awesome. I was cheering for them alongside with the rest of the 4th Coy girls. Teresa, breanna, Melinda and the rest of us were truly amazed by the wonderful performance they have put up. They caught the beat and marched to the right tempo. There were definitely minor mistakes here and there but it was definitely the best performance they have ever put up. We were cheering like crazy at the second level and I almost cried. I went back to the spectators area and the officers, Michelle, Wina and cheryl etc were praising the girls. I guess i will never forget that moment. The sense of achievement and satisfaction that you et from completing what you have been tasked with and completing it well was seriously great. At least, I felt that I have done my best in training the girls and I think I have never let anyone down. I guess Jac felt the same way too. We were so proud of the girls. Even Sharon said that their drill was decent. haha, for sharon to say that, it would mean that the girls were really of some standard for their young age.

The moment came when the results were out. we got a silver. A silver i repeat. we were definitely disappointed. All the seniors, officers and us were hoping for a Gold. But nevertheless, we knew we did very well. Some girls cried after hearing the results. It is ok. I guess nothing is much better than the fact that all of us gained many things through this entire drill comp practice experience that is far more important than the award. I guess i really got to know the girls better and I have learnt to improve on my way of training the girls. definitely, there is still lots of mprovement that i can make.

We went to Pizza Hut at Kovan to celebrate after that. jac and I ordered the Hut's special Couple delight. haha. The girls were like giving us that kind of face -.-'''. haha. We were so full after eating so much. Some of the girls seriously have very small stomach. They drank like only 1/5 of the bowl of soup and said they were full. My gosh, jac and me felt like people who havent eaten for days there while some of them are eating as if they had stomachs that are really mini and cannot expand. haha. The girls were really sweet by surpsrising jac and me with a cake from Prima Deli and they gave us each a gift. We felt so touched. After everything, we went around Heartland and finally went home. I went home and came out to Heartland again ater bathing to meet Michelle, teresa, Jac, Jin Hua, Cheryl and Melinda for dinner. haha, i was so full after eating so much at Pizza Hut that Jac and I ended only eating Sundae at macs. We sat there for four hours plus talking cock and laughing non stop. Thanky ou peeps for the wonderful time. I think we really have to thank GB for the bond that we have and you people are really awesome.
